About the Poverty Report

The New York State Community Action Association is pleased to present the annual New York State Poverty Report. This publication is designed to serve as a comprehensive resource for New York’s Community Action Agencies, community-based organizations, policymakers, advocates, community coalitions, and the general public.

This report does not offer policy recommendations. Its purpose is to provide information that adds value to the broader conversation about poverty, community needs, and the work being done to support individuals and families across New York State.
